C.K. Gunsalus

Biography

C.K. Gunsalus is special counsel and professor in the Colleges of Business and Medicine at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was formerly associate provost at University of Illinois, where she was responsible for a range of academic policy and administrative duties, including department head training/support, oversight of the discrimination and harassment grievance procedures, problem personnel cases and membership on the workplace violence team. Her prior experience at the university includes technology transfer, management of conflicts of interest, human subject protection, and long-term service as the campus research standards officer with responsibility for responding to allegations of professional misconduct by faculty and students. A lawyer, she currently serves on the Commission on Professionalism of the Illinois Supreme Court. She is the author of The College Administrator's Survival Guide, published by Harvard University Press.
