As I write this, the latest news is that BP's "top kill" tactic seems to have stopped the Gulf of Mexico oil leak, at least temporarily. One can only hope that there are no more serious mishaps, and that the total volume of oil spilled stops growing.

Now that it's in the past, I can safely admit my addiction to the TV show Lost. I could go weeks and months without watching anything else, but Lost had me from "hello". The drama, the scenery, the puzzles, the characters . . . I couldn't bear to miss a single episode. And didn't dare to, since each one held out the promise of a clue to help me figure out just what these writers were up to. They proclaimed from the beginning that the characters weren't dead, that the thing wasn't a dream, that all would be explained and that the explanation would make sense.

As noted earlier, I confuse easily. The latest example comes from a Shared Responsibility Study put out by Cone, LLC (whose service mark is "Building Brand Trust"). A summary of the study is free upon registration at their website.

I confuse easily. I 'm aware of that fact and, being aware of it, take solace when I learn of someone else who confuses as easily as I do.
