Marketing Assistant

Inside Higher Ed is searching for a marketing assistant who will tackle a wide range of tasks, potentially including (but certainly not limited to):

  • Managing the administrative details of a variety of marketing activities including e-mail promotions and direct mail campaigns
  • Organizing and managing our conference activity (we exhibit at about 20 conferences each year), including logistics, scheduling, materials, and shipping
  • Coordinating ongoing trade arrangements with various national associations and other groups
  • Representing Inside Higher Ed at conferences of higher education professionals around the country as needed
  • Tracking expenses to help prepare annual marketing budgets
  • Managing marketing materials (proofreading, printing, shipping, inventory control)

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, solid writing skills, terrific customer service, and an exposure to conference management, event planning, or similar activities. Experience with SalesForce (or a similar customer relationship management tool), Excel, Outlook, Vertical Response, and StrongMail, would be very desirable, but not required.
