Ward Churchill spoke at Eastern Washington University Tuesday, despite the opposition of administrators to his visit, The Seattle Times reported. The university had said that it was concerned about security, but Churchill called that issue "bogus."

The woman who was killed boxing last weekend was a geography professor at Front Range Community College. Her death stunned faculty colleagues, according to local press reports.

University of Arkansas football players who don't perform well in practice will no longer be required to wear pink jerseys as a punishment, coaches announced. Reports about the policy were criticized by advocacy groups for people with breast cancer because wearing a pink ribbon is a sign of support for people with the disease.
