A new report from the California Student Aid Commission and EdFund looks at why some students apply for financial aid and never enroll. The report found that 7 in 10 of these students cited financial difficulties as preventing them from enrolling. The report also found that many of these students -- as opposed to those who apply for aid and do enroll -- did not complete a college-preparatory curriculum in high school.
Stanford University on Thursday announced $94 million in gifts to support a major expansion of international education efforts. The gifts will finance, among other things: 10 interdisciplinary professorships, expansion of financial aid for international undergraduates and endowments for several research institutes at the university.
