New Programs: Creative Writing, Business Doctorates, Contemporary Music, Law Enforcement, Spanish and Business

- Adelphi University is starting an M.F.A. in creative writing in the fall of 2006. The program will offer tracks in playwriting, fiction and poetry.
- Bentley University will start doctoral programs in business and accountancy, beginning in September 2006. The new programs are designed to deal with a shortage of Ph.D.'s in business fields.
- Bowling Green State University has started a doctoral program in contemporary music, which is defined as music created after 1945. Students will be trained as composers, performers and scholars.
- Marquette University is starting a graduate certificate program in law enforcement leadership and management. Credits earned in the program may also be applied to Marquette's master's program in public service.
- Monmouth University is starting a new bachelor's degree program in Spanish and international business, in the fall of 2006.
