  • Raymond W. Alden III, executive vice president and provost at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, has taken the same position at Northern Illinois University.
  • Ray Michael Di Pasquale, interim president of the Community College of Rhode Island and former vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at the State University of New York College at Brockport, has been selected as permanent president of CCRI.
  • Velvie Green, provost and executive vice president for academic and student affairs at Grand Rapids Community College, in Michigan, has been chosen as president of Glendale Community College, in Phoenix.
  • Hal Higdon, vice president for administration at Gulf Coast Community College, in Miss., has been named president of Ozarks Technical Community College, in Springfield, Mo. 
  • Wyatt R. Hume, executive vice provost and vice president for academic and health affairs at the University of California system, has been named provost and senior vice president for academic affairs there.
  • Elizabeth Kiss, the Nannerl O. Keohane director of the Kenan Institute for Ethics and an associate professor of the practice of political science and philosophy at Duke University, has been selected as president of Agnes Scott College, in Decatur, Ga.
  • Mo H. Qayoumi, vice president for administration and finance and chief financial officer at California State University's Northridge campus, has been selected as president of Cal State's East Bay campus.
  • Ron Slepitza, vice president for student development and special counsel to the president for strategic planning at Xavier University, in Cincinnati, has been named president of Avila University, in Kansas City, Mo.
  • Anna Solley, acting president of Phoenix College, has been named president on a permanent basis.
  • Craig Swenson, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the University of Phoenix system, is the new provost and vice president of academic affairs at Western Governors University.
  • Edna Mora Szymanski, dean of the College of Education at the University of Maryland at College Park, has been named senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of Maine at Orono.
