- Bemidji State University, in Minnesota, is starting an online master of science program in special education.
- Bowie State University, in Maryland, is starting a doctor of applied science program in computer science.
- Los Angeles Valley College will offer a new associate degree in Hebrew studies, which will be more language focused than the college's current program in Jewish studies.
- Mohave Community College, in Arizona, is starting an associate of applied sciences degree program in auto collision and repair.
- The State University of New York is starting an online undergraduate program in electrical engineering -- involving faculty members from the university's campuses at Binghamton, Buffalo, and Stony Brook.
- The University of Georgia is starting a new major in Latin American and Caribbean studies.
