New Programs: Public Health, Biotechnology, Public Relations, Music Education, Homeland Security

  • Georgia Southern University is starting a doctorate in public health.
  • Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, in North Carolina, is starting an associate degree program in biotechnology. Students will be trained for positions as research assistants, laboratory technicians, and biotech product sales representatives.
  • St. John's University, in New York, is starting a bachelor's program in public relations.
  • The University of Texas at Brownsville is starting a master's degree in music education.
  • Virginia Commonwealth University is starting a master's program in homeland security, building on a new undergraduate program at the university.
