  • Christine M. Bahr, interim vice president for academic affairs at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, in Indiana, has been appointed provost and dean at McKendree University, in Illinois.
  • Karen S. Gersten, associate provost for academic programs and distance learning at Roosevelt University, in Illinois, has been named provost at Kendall College, also in Illinois.
  • Margaret A. Hamilton, acting vice president of academic affairs at Camden County College, in New Jersey, has been selected for the job on a permanent basis.
  • Ann Candler Lotven, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, has been appointed provost and vice president of academic affairs at Delta State University, in Mississippi.
  • John S. Miller, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Eastern Oregon University, has been chosen as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Pacific University, also in Oregon.
  • Leonard Schlesinger, vice chairman and chief operating officer of Limited Brands, has been named president of Babson College, in Massachusetts.
  • David L. Soltz, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Central Washington University, has been selected as president of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
  • John Tarrant, former vice chancellor of the University of Huddersfield and acting secretary general of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, in Britain, has been promoted to the latter job on a permanent basis.
