Patty Erjavec, president and CEO of El Pueblo, an adolescent treatment community in Colorado, has been appointed president of Pueblo Community College.

John S. Gordon, provost at Otis College of Art and Design, in California, has been selected as president of the College of Santa Fe, in New Mexico.

Richard MacLennan, vice president for student services at Olympic College, in Washington State, has been chosen as president of Garrett College, in Maryland.

George McLendon, professor of chemistry and biochemistry and dean of the faculty of Arts and Sciences at Duke University, in North Carolina, has been named provost of Rice University, in Texas.

Steven G. Poskanzer, president at the State University of New York at New Paltz, has been selected as president of Carleton College, in Minnesota.

Danette Toone, vice president of academic and community initiatives at Temple College, in Texas, has been chosen as president of Cloud County Community College, in Kansas.

Debra Townsley, president of Nichols College, in Massachusetts, has been named president of Peace College, in North Carolina.

Philip Williams, president of the University of Montevallo, has been appointed president of McNeese State University, in Louisiana.
