New Presidents or Provosts: Colorado State U.-Pueblo, Garden City CC, Hastings College, Lewis-Clark State College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Swinburne U. of Technology, Wilson College

Dawn Barrett, dean of the architecture and design division at Rhode Island School of Design, has been named president of Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

Peter K. Dorhout, vice provost for graduate affairs and assistant vice president for research at Colorado State University-Fort Collins, has been chosen as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Colorado State University-Pueblo.

J. Anthony (Tony) Fernandez, interim president of Lewis-Clark State College, in Idaho, has been appointed to the job on a permanent basis.

Linda Kristjanson, deputy vice chancellor for research and development at Curtin University, in Australia, has been named vice chancellor and president at Swinburne University of Technology, also in Australia.

Barbara K. Mistick, president of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania, has been selected as president of Wilson College, also in Pennsylvania.

Herbert Swender, president of Frank Phillips College, in Texas, has been appointed president of Garden City Community College, in Kansas.

Dennis Trotter, vice president for college advancement at Pitzer College, in California, has been chosen as president of Hastings College, in Nebraska.
