Robert A. Alsop, interim vice president for academic affairs at Waldorf College, has been promoted to president there.

Pamela J. Baker, Helen A. Papaioanou Professor of Biological Sciences at Bates College, has been appointed as vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty there.

David O. Belcher, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, has been named chancellor of Western Carolina University, in North Carolina.

Thomas L. Keon, dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida, has been selected as chancellor of Purdue University Calumet.

Suzanne Trager Ortega, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs of the University of New Mexico, has been chosen as senior vice president for academic affairs of the University of North Carolina system.

James M. Sunser, vice president for continuing and extended learning at Onondaga Community College, part of the State University of New York, has been named president of SUNY's Genesee Community College.

Jill Tiefenthaler, provost and professor of economics at Wake Forest University, has been chosen as president of Colorado College.
