Best Practices in Peer Review

The Association of American University Presses on Wednesday released Best Practices in Peer Review, designed to help publishers promote rigorous peer-review standards. The handbook is the result of a two-year effort by a committee of university press editors. The handbook's preamble states that "the peer-review process is highly complex, involves many individuals and must be responsive to the norms of the appropriate fields."
