This is a pilot project and her role will be to support teachers and maintain academic rigour. The API program has been awarding individual research fellowships grants to 5 countries in Asia since 2001. The Regional Committee develops policies and post-fellowship programs for the 350+ API fellows. Previously, she was the leader of the Philippine working group for the API Regional Project on Human Ecological Balance.
