New Programs: Creative Writing, Business Doctorates, Contemporary Music, Law Enforcement, Spanish and Business

Adelphi University is starting an M.F.A. in creative writing in the fall of 2006. The program will offer tracks in playwriting, fiction and poetry. Bentley University will start doctoral programs in business and accountancy, beginning in September 2006. The new programs are designed to deal with a shortage of Ph.D.'s in business fields.Bowling Green State University has started a doctoral program in contemporary music, which is defined as music created after 1945. Students will be trained as composers, performers and scholars. Marquette University is starting a graduate certificate program in law enforcement leadership and management. Credits earned in the program may also be applied to Marquette's master's program in public service.Monmouth University is starting a new bachelor's degree program in Spanish and international business, in the fall of 2006.
