New Programs: Education, Urban Public Health, International Law, Science and Business

California State University at Long Beach plans to start a doctoral program in education in the fall of 2007. Recent legislation in California opened up the possibility for California State campuses to offer such programs.The Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, in Los Angeles, will start a master of public health program in the fall, with a focus on health issues in urban areas.New York University and the National University of Singapore will start a dual degree program in Singapore in which students will earn master's degrees in law from both institutions. Emphases will include Asian law, trade and human rights.Western Carolina University has started a new master's degree in science and entrepreneurship. The program is designed for students with a bachelor's degree in science who want to advance their scientific knowledge while also learning about business and having internships that will prepare them for careers.
