Charlene Callahan, associate professor of psychology and director of the environmental studies program at New College of Florida, has been named provost and vice president for academic affairs there.William V. Flores, deputy secretary of the New Mexico higher education department and former provost of New Mexico State University, has been selected as president of the University of Houston-Downtown. Pamela Hammond, dean of the School of Nursing at Hampton University, in Virginia, has been promoted to provost there.Michael J. Page, dean of business at Bentley University and McCallum Graduate School, in Massachusetts, has been given the added title of vice president for academic affairs there.Paul Patton, former governor of Kentucky, has been appointed as president of Pikeville College, in Kentucky.
