North Park University is starting three new majors with its department of communication arts: communication studies, media studies and theater and performance studies.

Sacred Heart University is starting a master's degree in human resource management.

Salt Lake Community College is starting an associate of applied science in homeland security and emergency management.

Trinity University, in Texas, is starting an undergraduate minor and a certificate program in arts, letters and enterprise for liberal arts majors who wish to study and demonstrate competence in business skills.

York County Community College, in Maine, is starting an associate degree program in precision machining technology.
