This special topics session is a follow up to a successful roundtable at the annual 2010 MELUS conference in Scranton, PA; the 2010 roundtable was inspired by poet-writer Marilyn Chin's Revenge of the Mooncake Vixen. In this novel, or book of tales, Chin's Chinese-American twin female protagonists subvert the dominant expectations of gender and sexuality.
