The session seeks to call attention to the contribution contemporary women poets have made to the genre of poetry. It will look at their ways of breaking of the barriers of ‘gendering’ of poetry. Papers my focus on the work of individual poets from any country or take a comparative approach analyzing common themes, dialogue between their texts, or concentrate on issues of reception.
