Established in 1961, AACC is a fully accredited, public, two-year institution offering credit programs leading to an associate degree, certificate or a letter of recognition. Students may prepare for transfer to a four-year institution or for an immediate career. AACC also offers extensive lifelong learning opportunities and noncredit, continuing education to those seeking career training or retraining, working to boost basic skills or pursuing new areas of interest.
AACC is located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The county and the college’s namesake, Anne Arundel, harkens back to the 1600’s. The county is very closely tied to the water as it borders on the Chesapeake Bay. In fact, the county has 437 miles of waterfront. The county is also blessed with historical sites in abundance. You can explore the state capital in Annapolis or the Naval Academy, which are both located at a stone’s throw from the AACC Arnold campus.
The county is home to Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport. This asset and the county’s strategic location between Baltimore and Washington provide it with a strong foundation for business growth. AACC is an important player in the economic development formula as we recognize that an educated work force is key to attracting and retaining businesses.
