A set of documents that a Wyoming community college tried to bar a local newspaper from publishing were made public Wednesday, and indicate that the college’s president mishandled a response to the suicidal behaviors of a student while leading a 2008 class trip to Costa Rica.

In a scathing review of his controversial presidency at the University of Toledo, faculty are calling Lloyd Jacobs a tyrannical micromanager who “obviously thinks we are idiots.”

By many accounts, Desdemona Cardoza was the hands-down favorite to lead California State University's Los Angeles campus when James M. Rosser -- the president since 1979 -- eventually stepped aside. Cardoza had spent 22 years as a faculty member and administrator there, and had worked closely with Rosser since he appointed her provost in 2007.
