Gwendolyn Beetham

Gwendolyn Beetham is the Associate Director of the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked for women’s research institutes and gender justice organizations around the world and has taught gender studies at the London School of Economics, Rutgers University, and Brooklyn College. She is the co-editor of the four volume collection Gender, Poverty and Development (Routledge, 2014) and founding editor of the series “The Academic Feminist” for Her research interests include gender-based violence, LGBT rights, and critical university studies. Gwendolyn holds a PhD from the Gender Institute at the London School of Economics.
