Recognition for Mommy the Adjunct Professor

As someone who is deeply concerned about the academy’s need to improve its treatment of women, this cartoon will be a welcome addition to my collection! Thanks for noticing.

More categories of the disadvatanged

Add to the legions of mothers with adjunct, low paid, and un-benefitted status in the universities: 1. Retired professors (instant demotion), floating through the hallways like Hamlet’s father’s ghost;2. New Ph.D.s who can’t get work in the current market, hovering around their “alma maters,” on poverty-level stipends.
