2015 Survey of College and University Business Officers
August 13, 2015 - 4:52am

Inside Higher Ed's 2015 Survey of College and University Business Officers finds that:

  • Most chief business officers surveyed do not believe their institution is at risk of shutting down in the foreseeable future. But one in five CFOs believe their institution could have to shut down within "the coming decades."
  • Fewer than a third of business officers say professors understand the financial challenges their institution faces. About 8 in 10 say the same about presidents and trustees.
  • A majority of business officers (56 percent) say media reports of a financial crisis for higher education are accurate.

Inside Higher Ed editors Scott Jaschik and Doug Lederman disucss these and other findings of the 2015 Survey of College and University Business Officers in this free webinar. Download the accompanying slide deck by clicking here.

The Inside Higher Ed 2015 Survey of College and University Business Officers was made possible in part by the generous financial support of Axiom, Workday and Jenzabar.
