Kansas State University has three campuses located in Manhattan, Salina and Olathe, Kansas, as well as a Global Campus, home to numerous online educational opportunities for students.   • The Landon Lecture Series features national leaders, such as Supreme Court justices, former presidents and military commanders.
  • A revitalized downtown offering eclectic shopping, local restaurants and the new Flint Hills Discovery Center.
  • The Konza Prairie is located in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas and features the largest remaining area of tallgrass prairie in North America.

Commerce Bank Presidential Faculty/Staff Award for Distinguished Services to Historically Underrepresented Minority Students

This award, established in 1978, recognizes outstanding individual contributions to the development of quality education for students of color each year at Kansas State University.

Many opportunities exist to explore cultures at Kansas State University and the surrounding community. Student organizations celebrate events such as MLK Observance Week, Hispanic Heritage Month, Cultural Community Harmony Week and many others. Several local cultural centers also serve the community.

Manhattan rates among the best classic college towns in the country — it's big enough to offer opportunities and adventures but small small enough to center on the university. We're ranked among the Top 20 college towns in the country by the American Institute for Economic Research.
