  • The Konza Prairie is located in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas and features the largest remaining area of tallgrass prairie in North America.

Commerce Bank Presidential Faculty/Staff Award for Distinguished Services to Historically Underrepresented Minority Students

This award, established in 1978, recognizes outstanding individual contributions to the development of quality education for students of color each year at Kansas State University.

Student organizations celebrate events such as MLK Observance Week, Hispanic Heritage Month, Cultural Community Harmony Week and many others. Several local cultural centers also serve the community.
