American International College has been committed to diversity and inclusion since its founding in 1885.

American International College has been committed to diversity and inclusion since its founding in 1885. Back then we served an immigrant population striving to prosper in a new country, and we were among the very first colleges in the region to admit women. Today we are proud to continue that commitment to diversity. Our undergraduate student population is over 50% non-white, over 50% Pell grant eligible and over 50% first generation college students.  We welcome students and applicants of all races, cultures, ages, genders, sexual orientation, religions, socioeconomic levels, political perspectives, abilities, opinions, and values. We routinely review our admission and hiring policies to ensure that people of all backgrounds feel nothing but welcome here.
