Community Partnerships and Scholarships

We partner with community groups to provide unique opportunities and experiences for our students.

Act Six

Act Six provides full scholarships—as well as academic guidance and preparation, mentoring, and ongoing leadership and community development opportunities—to students from historically underrepresented populations. We aim to empower young people to change their neighborhoods through education and leadership development.

We work through the FSU Community Partnership to create an intentional presence in the Frogtown community through service and engagement—civic, social, and spiritual. Over the years, hundreds of Bethel students have participated in service learning projects such as literacy tutoring. Additionally, through the College of Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS), we offer courses in the Frogtown community for adults pursuing their bachelor's or associate's degrees.

Academic Programs

We offer many opportunities for students in all of our schools to engage diversity in the classroom and beyond. Several programs focus on cultivating a greater understanding of diversity and culture, including a Global and Contextual Leadership emphasis in the Masters of Divinity program as well as the only faith-based undergraduate major and minor in Reconciliation Studies.
