Online Grows in Canada While Traditional Enrollments Stagnate

Online course enrollments in Canadian postsecondary institutions grew by about 10 percent in 2019, while the total enrollment numbers at those institutions stayed flat, according to data from the Canadian National Survey of Online and Digital Learning published last week by the Canadian Digital Learning Research Association. The survey explores a range of topics beyond online enrollments, including the use of alternative credentials, the technologies institutions are using and the use of open educational resources.
