Ohio Libraries Select VitalSource to Monitor Textbook Prices
December 12, 2018

The Ohio Library and Information Network (OhioLINK), which includes 120 academic libraries at 92 of the state's higher education institutions, will use the Verba Connect tool from the etextbook publisher VitalSource to analyze market prices for textbooks, the company announced today.

Earlier this year, the network secured statewide inclusive access agreements with commercial publishers that give students access by the first day of class to competitively priced online course materials at a flat rate. The VitalSource tool will help OhioLINK keep prices for those arrangements lower than the competition, according to a press release.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
