Dartmouth College's relationship with its fraternities and sororities hasn't been entirely free and easy in the last decade. In 1999, the college's trustees, troubled by the perception that fraternities dominated campus social life in a negative way -- emphasizing alcohol and exclusivity -- declared a moratorium on the establishment of new Greek organizations in 1999 while contemplating an overhaul.
Tis the season when “speakers” descend on college campuses, bringing with them impressive resumes or big names, or both, along with some words of wisdom to dispense. This year has, like most, featured a few controversies, but for today, turning elsewhere. ...

Today’s college graduates do not exhibit as much professionalism as their employers expect of them, according to a new study from York College of Pennsylvania.
