New Programs: Pharmacy, Food, Social Work and Law, Nursing

  • Concordia University Wisconsin has announced plans to open a pharmacy school in the 2009-10 academic year.
  • Indiana University at Bloomington is starting a Ph.D. program in the anthropology of food.
  • The University of Pittsburgh is starting a joint program in which students will earn a master of social work and a law degree. Separately, the two degrees require 60 and 88 credits, respectively. But in the joint program, the credit requirements will drop to 46 and 75.
  • The University of San Francisco is starting a doctorate of nursing practice degree program.
