New Programs: Engineering, MBA, Music Education, Engineering Education, Ancient Studies

  • The Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, in Massacusetts, has started an engineering certificate program for undergraduates at Wellesley and Babson Colleges and Brandeis University. The sequence of five courses will be designed for those considering careers where some engineering background would be desirable or for non-engineering majors who are considering engineering graduate programs.
  • Mount St. Mary's College, in California, is starting a weekend M.B.A. program in which students will take courses on weekends and also have a mandatory foreign study trip.
  • The Oberlin Conservatory of Music is starting a master of music teaching program.
  • Virginia Tech is starting a Ph.D. in engineering education.
  • Wittenberg University, in Ohio, is starting a minor in pre--modern and ancient world studies.
