  • Camden County College, in New Jersey, is starting a new science certificate -- a 26- to 28-credit program for students who may have completed associate degree programs without enough math and science to transfer to four-year programs in those fields.
  • The College of Saint Rose, in New York, is starting a major in bioinformatics.
  • The University of Dayton is starting a bachelor's degree program in human rights studies. Dayton officials believe the degree is the first of its kind.
  • Xavier University, in Ohio, is offering a new M.B.A. program with a concentration in business intelligence.
