  • Mark P. Becker, provost of the University of South Carolina at Columbia, has been selected as president of Georgia State University.
  • Jimmy Cheek, senior vice president for agriculture and natural resources at the University of Florida, has been chosen as chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
  • W. Kent Fuchs, Joseph Silbert Dean of Engineering at Cornell University, in New York, has been appointed provost there.
  • Edward MacKay, vice chancellor and treasurer of the University System of New Hampshire, has been named chancellor of the system.
  • Laura Schweitzer, founding regional dean of Albany Medical College's Cooperstown campus, has been selected as president of Union Graduate College, also in New York.
  • David Todt, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at Shawnee State University, in Ohio, has been promoted to the job on a permanent basis.
