  • William V. Flores, deputy secretary of the New Mexico higher education department and former provost of New Mexico State University, has been selected as president of the University of Houston-Downtown.
  • Pamela Hammond, dean of the School of Nursing at Hampton University, in Virginia, has been promoted to provost there.
  • Michael J. Page, dean of business at Bentley University and McCallum Graduate School, in Massachusetts, has been given the added title of vice president for academic affairs there.
  • Paul Patton, former governor of Kentucky, has been appointed as president of Pikeville College, in Kentucky.
