Commencement Speakers Announced: Colby, John Carroll, Marquette, Mills, Regent, SUNY Oswego, U. of Tennessee at Knoxville, Vassar

The following colleges and universities have announced their commencement speakers:

  • Colby College: Judith A. McHale, under secretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs.
  • John Carroll University: Tom Brokaw, former anchor of NBC News.
  • Marquette University: Wendy Kopp, founder and chief executive of Teach For America.
  • Mills College: Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
  • Regent University: H. Wayne Huizenga, Jr., president of Huizenga Holdings, Inc., and chairman of the board of Rybovich, a yacht marina and refit facility in West Palm Beach.
  • State University of New York at Oswego: Naomi Wolf, the author.
  • University of Tennessee at Knoxville: Al Gore, environmental leader and former vice president of the United States.
  • Vassar College: Lisa Kudrow, the actress.
