The following colleges and universities have announced their commencement speakers:

  • Agnes Scott College: Madeleine K. Albright, the former secretary of state.
  • Bentley University: Suze Orman, the personal finance expert.
  • Birmingham-Southern College: Edward LaMonte, formerly the Howell Heflin Professor of Political Science at the college.
  • Bunker Hill Community College: Benjamin S. Carson, director of the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.
  • Excelsior College: Martha J. Kanter, under secretary of education.
  • Goucher College: Charles Frank Bolden Jr., administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
  • New School: Bruce Babbitt, former secretary of the interior and former governor of Arizona.
  • Northwest Missouri State University: William Ray Price Jr., chief justice of the Missouri Supreme Court.
  • Southern Vermont College: Michelle Kwan, the figure skater.
  • Valparaiso University: Kurt M. Senske, president and chief executive officer of Lutheran Social Services,
