The following colleges and universities have announced their commencement speakers for spring 2011:

  • Antioch University Los Angeles: André Birotte Jr., U.S. attorney for the Central District of California.
  • California Institute of the Arts: Annette Bening, the actress, and Donald McKayle, the dancer and choreographer.
  • Georgia Health Sciences University: Louis Wade Sullivan, former U.S. secretary of health and human
  • Macalester College: Lois Quam, executive director of the Global Health Initiative.
  • Martin University: André Carson, U.S. representative from Indiana.
  • Northeastern State University: Phyllis Hudecki, Oklahoma secretary of education.
  • Northern Essex Community College: Frank G. Cousins Jr., sheriff of Essex County.
  • Pacific Lutheran University: Alaska Governor Sean Parnell.
  • Saint John's University, in Minnesota: John Grim, senior lecturer and research scholar at Yale University.
  • St. Bonaventure University: James T. Walsh, former U.S. representative from New York.
  • University of Delaware: Michael N. Castle, Delaware's former governor and U.S. representative.
  • University of Nebraska at Kearney: Nancy Hensel, executive director of the Council on Undergraduate Research.
  • University of Texas at San Antonio: Kathleen Sebelius, U.S. secretary of health and human services.
