A U.S. attorney on Tuesday told trustees of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey that they needed to accept federal supervision of the institution's management or they could face prosecution that could shut the institution down, The Star-Ledger reported. The university has faced a series of financial scandals in recent months, and the newspaper reported that the board, in a closed meeting, agreed to the demand.
