Rockefeller University has announced a $100 million pledge from David Rockefeller, grandson of the university's founder. The university plans to use $70 million from the gift to restore laboratories and for research.
Richard Rodriguez, an author, withdrew from plans to give a commencement address at California State University-East Bay, after some students said that they objected to some of his views on affirmative action and bilingual education, the Associated Press reported.
