Ithaca College will introduce a major in health care leadership in the fall. Graduates will be trained for jobs in health care facilities, insurance companies, public health agencies and pharmaceutical companies.
Raritan Valley Community College, in New Jersey, has created a College for Working Adults designed to help working adults earn an associate degree in 2.5 years, even while the students hold down full-time jobs. The program is based on offering accelerated 10-week blocks of instruction for courses.
The State University of New York at Albany, in conjunction with the New York State Office of Homeland Security, is offering a certificate in public security studies. The certificate will be available to graduate stedents at Albany's Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.
