Sean T. Buffington, associate provost for arts and culture and director of cultural programs at Harvard University, in Massachusetts, has been named president of the University of the Arts, in Pennsylvania.
Kristina M. Johnson, dean of Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering, has been selected as provost and senior vice president of academic affairs at Johns Hopkins University, in Maryland.
Stephen Lehmkuhle, senior vice president for academic affairs at the University of Missouri system, has been named the first chancellor of the University of Minnesota's Rochester campus.
George E. Sims, interim provost at Spring Hill College, in Alabama, has been appointed to the position on a permanent basis.
Wilbur W. Stanton, senior vice provost at Radford University, in Virginia, has been promoted to provost and vice president for academic affairs there.
C. Reynold Verret, dean and professor of chemistry and biochemistry of Misher College of Arts and Sciences at the University of the Sciences, in Pennsylvania, has been selected as provost and chief academic officer at Wilkes University, also in Pennsylvania.
Gordon Weil, associate provost and professor and chair of the department of economics at Wheaton College, in Massachusetts, has been named vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Moravian College, in Pennsylvania.
