Lisa Anderson, James T. Shotwell Professor of International Relations and former dean of the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, in New York, has been named provost at American University in Cairo.
Sue K. Hammersmith, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs and a professor of social change and sociology at the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay, has been chosen as president of Metropolitan State University, in Minnesota.
Mark Millage, news director of KELO-TV, in South Dakota, has been selected as president of Kilian Community College, also in South Dakota.
John Pauly, dean of the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication at Marquette University, in Wisconsin, has been promoted to provost there.
Edna Mora Szymanski, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of Maine at Orono, has been appointed president of Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Donald B. Taylor, dean of the College of Science at Benedictine University, in Illinois, has been named provost and vice president for academic affairs there.
