Catherine Chew, vice president for academic affairs at Orange County Community College, in New York, has been named president of Craven Community College, in North Carolina.
Marten L. denBoer, associate provost at the City University of New York's Queens College, has been selected as provost and vice president for academic affairs at California State Polytechnic Institute at Pomona.
Vistasp M. Karbhari, professor and vice chairman of the Department of Structural Engineering at the University of California at San Diego, has been named provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
Thomas K. Lindsay, deputy chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities, has been selected as president of Shimer College, in Illinois.
J. Randall O’Brien, executive vice president and provost, professor of religion and visiting law professor at Baylor University, in Texas, has been chosen as president of Carson-Newman College.
Richard B. Simpson, interim chief academic and operations officer at Colorado State University's Global Campus, has been appointed as senior vice president and chief academic officer at Corinthian Colleges.
