Rebecca S. Chopp, president of Colgate University, in New York, has been selected as president of Swarthmore College, in Pennsylvania.
Rick Ostrander, interim vice president for academic affairs at John Brown University, in Arkansas, has been chosen as provost and chief academic officer at Cornerstone University, in Michigan.
G.P. (Bud) Peterson, chancellor of the University of Colorado at Boulder, has been named president of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dallas Rabenstein, distinguished professor of chemistry and former dean of the graduate division at the University of California at Riverside, has been promoted to executive vice chancellor and provost there.
Eileen Schwalbach, acting president of Mount Mary College, in Wisconsin, has been appointed to the job on a permanent basis.
Stan Shoun, vice president of workforce development and continuing education at Central Virginia Community College, has been selected as president of Ranken Technical College, in Missouri.
Joseph M. Stevenson, founder and director of the Jake Ayers Institute for Research in Urban Higher Education and former provost and vice president for academic and student affairs at Jackson State University, in Mississippi, has been chosen as provost/senior vice president and chief operating officer at Mississippi Valley State University.
