Janice Deakin, associate vice principal (academic) and dean of graduate studies at Queen’s University, in Ontario, has been appointed provost and vice president (academic) at the University of Western Ontario.
Ian Gatley, director of the Center for Student Innovation at Rochester Institute of Technology, has been selected as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Harvey Kesselman, dean of education at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, has been chosen as provost and executive vice president there.
Shirley Lawler, associate vice president for academic affairs at Ozarks Technical Community College, in Missouri, has been promoted to vice president for academic affairs there.
Ronald Mason Jr., president of Jackson State University, in Mississippi, has been selected as president of the Southern University System, in Louisiana.
John R. Raymond, vice president for academic affairs and provost at the Medical University of South Carolina, has been appointed president and CEO of the Medical College of Wisconsin.
James Strong, dean of the College of Business and Public Policy at California State University at Dominguez Hills, has been chosen as provost and vice president for academic affairs at California State University at Stanislaus.
Jeffrey S. Vitter, professor of computer science and former provost at Texas A&M University, has been named provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of Kansas.
