Teresa L. Amott, provost and dean of the faculty at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, has been named president of Knox College.
Katherine P. Douglas, vice president of academic affairs at Sussex County Community College, in New Jersey, has been appointed president of Corning Community College, part of the State University of New York System.
Donald V. Dowless, vice president for academic affairs at North Greenville University, in South Carolina, has been chosen as president of Shorter University, in Georgia.
Tim McTiernan, assistant vice president for government, institutional and community relationsat the University of Toronto, in Ontario, has been named president and vice chancellor of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
Joseph E. Nyre, president and chief executive officer of the Hope Institute for Children and Families, in Illinois, has been appointed president of Iona College, in New York.
Jim Towey, former president of Saint Vincent College, in Pennsylvania, has been selected as president of Ave Maria University, in Florida.
Nigel Weatherill, pro vice chancellor and head of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Birmingham, in Britain, has been chosen as vice chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University, also in Britain.
