With ever more emphasis being placed on study abroad and service learning opportunities for students, many of us are designing our own faculty-led adventures with students as we engage in experiential learning outside the classroom. Some questions to consider might include what constitutes a successful travel experience, what strategies we emply to assure that all participants are as engaged as possible, and how we evaluate student learning in a travel context.
